Louis’ passion for food began in his parent’s restaurant, where he started in the dumpster (pushing down trash to save money on extra pick-up for the week) and worked his way up.

Eventually, he took over and reinvented the maturing establishment, increasing sales exponentially over the next six years with a variety of original culinary innovations, non-traditional marketing strategies, and unconventional choices.

Louis’ iconoclastic instincts set the table for his own personal vision and philosophy: Focus on one genuine idea that will create its own niche in the marketplace….don’t try to out-think the competition in the same old terms.

His expertise covers various facets of the food industry including operations, management, and marketing — from business modeling and consumer selection, to multiple platform marketing and sales, to web procurement and mobile advertising.

Louis is co-founder of Nature’s Basics, a food flavoring company, co- founder of Bridge Financial Solutions, LLC and is also the past chairman of the MD Institute of Food Technologists. He holds a B.B.A. from Temple University and is pursuing his M.B.A in food marketing from St. Joseph’s University.

Sean McCoy
Vice President

Sean is an exercise physiologist and food scientist by training who specializes in partnering innovative scientific discoveries for cosmetics, and consumer food and drink applications.  Sean has served as a key opinion leader on several regional branded drink products, managed R and D for an adjunctive wellness beverage, production of innovative, natural, high intensity sweetener applications, and published on fluid intake and neutraceutical supplementation.  Sean is a co-founder of Real McCoy Technology Solutions a University of Florida based startup that provides customized time, temperature integrators coupled with product specific algorithms to track and monitor freshness and food safety of perishable goods, pharmaceuticals, and biologics.  Sean serves as a content expert and marketing liaison for uBrand’s ventures involving functional foods, beverages, neutraceuticals, and perishable goods.

Linda Penney 
Copy Director

An award-winning conceptual copywriter and creative copy director based in Philadelphia, Linda has worked with numerous food industry clients in a career that spans more than 25 years, both independently and as an agency copy director. Clients have included Campbell Soups, Acme Markets, Buffet Partners, The Fireman Group, Abuelo’s Mexican Embassy and the food service concessions of major hotel chains. Over the years, she has been instrumental in developing creative concepts, messaging platforms, strategic content, and nomenclature that have launched a variety of new companies into the marketplace.

Nick Quinn 
QSR Media Manager

Nick Quinn has had a passion for restaurants and the hospitality industry since he was young. At age 14, while most other children were out playing, Nick spent his summer days in the hot kitchens of several Philadelphia Main Line restaurants, learning the trade. With aspirations of being a leader in the hospitality industry, Nick attended and graduated from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.

Many successful, well-run companies, including NBC Universal, Chicago’s Lettuce Entertain You, Philadelphia’s Starr Restaurant Organization and New York’s B.R. Guest Hospitality have recruited Nick because of his passion and expertise in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Today, Nick brings his experience to many local restaurateurs and chain operators as both a restaurant media consultant and a Pennsylvania licensed commercial real estate agent. Nick has the opportunity to work with Restaurant Advisory Services (RAS), a full service consulting firm that has been helping restaurants increase revenues and maximize profitability throughout the country for over 20 years.

Nick’s background has provided him with a wide range of experience, specifically in Front and Back of the House management strategies, restaurant start-up, operational analysis, site selection, kitchen design, market and demographic analysis, quality assurance, menu design, business plan creation, real estate acquisitions and lease negotiations.

John Howells 
Design Director

Based in New York City, John brings a wide range of design experience in digital, print and television to the uBrandPartners team. Working independently and in the agency world, John specializes in branding, direct marketing and social media applications. When he’s not blogging, tweeting or Tumblring he’s staying on top of industry trends designing websites, iPhone, Facebook and web applications.

He has worked with clients large and small, most notably: JP Morgan Chase, Comcast, Sunoco, Old Original Bookbinder’s Restaurants, Buffet Partners, The Wall Street Journal, Avis Budget Group and Nutrisystem.

John has a B.S. in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia and graduated with top portfolio in his class.

In his free time, John loves to cook and experiment with new flavors, never making the same meal twice! When he’s not coming up with a new recipe, he’s trying out the latest hotspot on the New York restaurant scene.
